El Tule Institute 2018 Campaign

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Friends of El Tule Gifts, Mindfulness, Movement

Campaign 2018
Lovingly closing and opening cycles

Another year of offerings from el Tule Institute has unearthed a harvest of sweet humbling wisdom.

It is with loving humility that we ask for your donations to keep on keeping on providing our
community love offerings.

Our lives are immersed in a cosmos of infinite interacting relationships and possibilities. Every moment, a blink of Brahma, a universe unfolds in our bodies, spirits, minds, and hearts. You and I are connected in this ebb and flow and in vibrational fields at all levels of being. Chi Gong (Qigong) is one beautiful vehicle to root our consciousness into every breath.

Breathe in that miracle!

We move through micro and macro cycles every moment as our consciousness immerses into the daily complex rhythms of everyday life. A flower blooms or wilts, the rain flows, comes and goes, we open our eyes and go to sleep, our breath ignites our systems and then leaves our body.  We are surrounded by energies that keep our flows moving and, in that movement, energy is transformed. Our love is the matrix where all this unfolds and where the silence of stillness and meditations lies. Our core, our sense of self is in eternal exchange with the world.  The inner reaches into the outer realms and the dance reciprocates.

We give thanks and are completely
in gratitude for your connection with us.

This Autumn, a new cycle of gratitude begins. El Tule continues to thread those treasured ocean pearls we cultivate in each workshop–our monthly love offerings at the North West public library. These workshops have become a gathering to allow our consciousnesses to release, restore, recharge, celebrate, and embrace the energy we generate as our unique vibratory signal. Each activation nurtures and balances our fields in connection to the ocean of chi around us. We are in gratitude for your support, whether in thought, word, or in presence.

El Tule Institute needs your support.
Your generosity will help us continue instilling
peace and bliss one light body at a time.

May you all be blessed and may you reach out and come share with us our last two shaktivations of the year.  (Go here for more: http://eltuleinstitute.org/)

Martha, Deb, Sheila, Kay, Eric and friends

We give profound thanks to our teachers and their teachers, our ancestors, our love circles, and all their relationships in all directions of time. Equinox Activation September 16

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Mindfulness, Movement, Poetics

After the late summer Eclipse… September equinox activation

Autumn is a season to deeply nurture our roots as inhabitants of this most amazingly beautiful planet earth. Our earth is unconditionally nurturing us all the time; like our mothers who were our first taste of absolute plenitude and abundance. There is a deep relationship to explore with mother earth and our earth energetic body. Understanding from a sensual and experiential perspective our  energetic body systems is part of the work we do in El Tule’s signature Chi Gong activations.

Nurturing the balance for our earth systems will mak e you feel at ease with all that surrounds you. Our metabolic system is deeply engaged with the earth’s influence on our subtle, physical, and mental flows. Our capacity to absorb and transform nutrients is a blessing of receiving in balance helping us be at ease in a happy, generous, loving state. Come celebrate your energy being and your landing on this planet and help send out this powerful activation of gratitude in ripples of blessings to all who need a safe space after the eclipse and the instability that the hurricane brought to our lives.

Come out and share your beautiful energy with us as we create a clearing and safe energy field for us to open to our earth energetic flow and balance this important connection to a beautiful season that is coming soon. You will bloom and thrive as you restore these natural energies.

We will be doing a special class on Saturday September the 16th at Casa de Luz, splashing in the vast ocean of chi where we can gather, restore, and nourish our our biological, energetic and spiritual systems.

Come join us and make waves of gratitude; feel revitalized, restored and unconditionally present in your life.

Bloom opening towards the light

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Mindfulness, Movement

Behold the Eclipse
August 21

Take a second and hold your attention gently; let your thoughts land lightly, like a butterfly landing on a flower, weightless, and rest your attention in what your eyes see right now. It is the light and the reflection of it that allows your nervous system to interpret the light bouncing back from an object. Observe the light, how it contours the object you are holding. You are the beholder.

Our lives evolve and revolve in deep connection to the sun.  We awaken and rest with the rhythm of this beautiful light presence in our lives. All of nature is connected to it in a most amazing web of life, a beautiful orchestration of relationships that are also dancing in the sunlight.  The body and the inner body are also connected and organized in relationship to this powerful source of life giving energy.

Soon, in North America, we will be able to see a total eclipse of the sun. The moon will be in between the earth and the sun.  Texas is not in the total eclipse view trajectory. Give us an opportunity for awareness, a moment to be in complete gratitude for this constant vital force – the sun.  Our systems respond to light and heat provided by the sun, and chi gong supports optimal body-mind-spirit relationships as the seasons flow. Now deep into summer, we could receive the eclipse as a gift and perhaps we can imbue this event with a special meaning and extend our own energies for peace among humans and peace with the earth.  Peace is a most harmonious state of plenitude. Inhabit this peace in your body and in the place you are. Feel the bliss of holding beautiful sunlight in your third eye.

We will be doing a special class on Saturday August the 19th at Casa de Luz, attuning our chi to the vast oceans of energy that we gather and store in our biological, energetic and spiritual bodies.

Come join us and make waves of gratitude and feel revitalized, restored and nourished.

Wake Up 2017! Red Rooster Chi Gong

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Friends of El Tule Gifts, Movement

WakeUp-2017The Red Rooster is all about awakening

Our Chi Gong family extends through time into the past and into the future, like our prayers. It is a tradition that has been passed on through many generations. Our teacher’s teachers passed on Chi Gong light through the heart/mind/soul of Taoist priests and practitioners. Like us, they experienced existence in human form. Through our breath they live. In every breath, we receive the light they cultivated, nurtured and we receive it in gratitude. These two-thousand-year-old practices connect us to a wisdom that does not bind us in time or space. As we integrate our own practices, we transmit quietly their energy to those we encounter in this powerfully beautiful experience — the world.

The red rooster crows for us to wake up, be in the sun, engage in our day, and capture the solar power which is a blessing. the amazing alchemical source for life. The sun and the moon rotate around us as we dance under the sun. We are in their infinite flux. Martha’s thought: I have embraced the gifts/changes 2016 brought and I feel now ready to wake up, like an erased, open, pure, white page waiting for the ink to imprint meaning in it. We are always changing and change is always changing us. Chi is the energy we “ride”  and chi gong allows us to be in the flow, open to change forever.

Equinox workshop September 24

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Mindfulness, Movement

AUTUMN EQUINOX– Flapping wings and ripples of light…

On September first a solar eclipse took place and we had a lunar eclipse Friday, September nine (9/9) …  the next  season begins with the equinox on September 22nd and we are planning a workshop on September 24 to attune our energies for the changes to come.

We are all connected. Changes in our environment ripple into our lives like the wings of this dragonfly impact the pond and the lovely water lilies. The intangible processes of the cosmos affect our beings every day and Chi Gong serves opening our intelligence to the field of subtle intelligence.

This summer was the season of the orange dragonfly. So magical.

We live surrounded by energetic bio- and electro-magnetic flows. We receive ripples from events into the fields of our vibrational subtle body, which can be intangible if we are not aware nor conscious of these. Chi Gong movement flows serve to enhance our perception of what is called the wei chi bubble. The wei chi holds us like if we were in an amniotic fluid, protecting us, creating an energetic body around us that discerns the energies we receive in the inner layers of our beings. Our wei chi is a living and breathing part of our being and it serves to connect us to other energies through the osmotic membrane that surrounds us.

As life unfolds in our postnatal form the wei chi is an energetic womb, so to speak. Our bio energetic field conducts heaven and earth energy through the Tai Ji pole.  From the vast oceans of chi – the chi sphere- we take what we need and we transform chi in the dantians, described by the ancients as cauldrons or warmers, and i like to think of them as batteries.

This September equinox, practices to enhance the wei chi field are important as changes in the season will begin to need boosting immune processing. Our bubble is like cytoplasm of a light egg-like being, it is intangible to us unless we practice connecting to our subtle fields. Our awareness understands the subtle relational boundaries in which we flow all throughout the day. If there is harmony in our internal electromagnetic flows, our external flows will mirror that internal harmony. Chi from other beings dance with us in an endless ebb and flow of the river of life, giving and receiving. We float in these exchanges like orange dragonflies in the vast summer sky.

Chi Gong practices support our lives by nourishing our three treasures. These three treasures are our Jing (substance essence), our Chi (vital force), and our Shen (spirit essence). Jing is like a plasm in which life resides, Chi flows in and out and fills the Jing, and the Shen governs these flows. Jerry Johnson in his classical tome on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) volume one, helps us understand the chi map in our energetic bodies, both subtle and physical. Our three dantians gather, assimilate, transform and disperse energetic and spiritual substances acquired from and forged into our prenatal chi structure. As we walk on mother earth we gather from our postnatal chi ecology as well. Our three dantians disperse chi (energy) and shen (essence) via the network of meridians and the eight extraordinary vessels. The more we exchange chi at more refined levels and enhance our conductor flows between heaven and earth – the more we refine our essence and thus nurture our longevity, enhancing our wholeness and our ability to discern the energies we receive in the yin and yang exchange that is our life.

Come and gather some wisdom practices in our next
activation & detox session. All are welcome.

Be a super-conductor!

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Art, Mindfulness, Movement, Music/Sound

Be a super conductor!

Through Chi Gong, I have learned that all living beings are light beings (so to speak) or bio-electromagnetic entities. We all hold the three treasures and cultivate our energetic fields through the mysterious and beautiful journey that our life is. In the traditional practice of Chi Gong the three treasures are Spirit, Essence and Energy. (Read on below for a brief description of chakra-like energy centers).

The image [1] from Dr. Johnson’s book shows the human body’s flux lines as they conduct energetic (Chi or Qi) flows.  Jerry Alan Johnson [2] – our honored Chi Gong lineage teacher and alchemist – conceives of the human body as enveloped with electromagnetic currents that influence our overall well-being and longevity. “The body maintains its electromagnetic connection with the earth through the energetic resonance of the Taiji Pole.” This energetic pole is an important organizing life principle in the energetic structure of the body; it holds two energy-conducting poles, which are positioned along our spine. “The purpose of these energetic poles is to absorb Qi from various universal and environmental fields and connect and integrate the energy into the body’s three Dantians (see flux image.)”

“…The two magnetic poles of the Upper Dantian and Lower Dantian have a different energy influx. The electro magnetic lines in the body’s bio-field begin at the top of the head where the Heaven Qi flows into the body and descends the Taiji pole, ending at the base of the perineum. Consequently, the Earth energy is drawn upwards from the legs and perineum and flows into the Lower Dantian, eventually ending at the top of the head in the upper Dantian. The bottom pole, located in the lower Dantian, converts Jing (essence) into Qi (energy) and increases the body’s overall life-force energy. The upper pole, located in the Upper Dantian, converts Shen (spirit) into perceptual insight and spiritual light contained within the infinite space of the Wuji.“

Human life is an ongoing balancing and harnessing of our three treasures: essence, energy, and spirit — always harmonizing with the ebb and flow of the elements and earthly influences as we exist. Chi Gong is one traditional path to cultivate and enrich the flux of these aspects of our being — the finite and infinite ones. From a humanistic perspective, many traditional cultures look at this vertical axis as one connecting us to our divine creativity. In our practice, we see Chi Gong as a tool to enhance our intention to cultivate our longevity in bliss. If you come and partake of our monthly activation flows you too can become your life’s super-conductor!

Spring Equinox Thoughts

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Art, Mindfulness, Movement, Poetics

Spring Equinox–seeding starlight in the soil of our spirit.

March is here.

This beautiful Itajime image (by Ava Brooks) reveals the playful flows of changing energies as they rise… as the dyes are absorbed into the fibers of the paper beauty emerges. Similarly, rivers of energies flow through us.

As the earth gravitates around the sun, Chi dances in all beings animate and inanimate; Chi Gong supports us so that we harmonize with this amazing life dance. Winter has nurtured our deepest core energies just like the warm earth protects all seeds in the ground. And spring invites us to start opening to the flow of another season.

The I Ching (the book of changes) tells us that change is the essence life experience. Our bodies hold the light of our soul, and in our soul we are infinite, we are expansive and we soar together in oneness.

Master Hua Ching Ni has inspired our teachers and has had a profound impact in our teaching lineage. He has taught us how to flow with the changes in life and that Chi Gong is a knowledge that needs cultivation, to create a pathway toward harmonizing with the energy that is dancing all around us.  We breathe his wisdom in our practices.

“…Throughout millions of years, human beings developed from the constant cycle of nature. By observing hibernating insects and animals around them and the yearly cycles of vegetation, they responded naturally to all seasons. In Spring, they were lively, in Summer vivacious, in autumn they in Autumn they gathered themselves, and in Winter, they prepared for return. Thus mankind achieved an existence here on Earth that was in harmony with the divine order of the universe.

… Before the stage of separation between Heaven and Earth, the natural and the supernatural were one. After life in a form became distinct from spirit, the supernatural quality of life started to diminish. In spiritual cultivation it is understood that the highest achievement of a human life is to restore what is most natural in order to reach the supernatural. Thus the regimen of self-cultivation and all methods of spiritual development are practiced according to the season. Seasonal periods mark significant times, which are beneficial for undertaking special cultivation for specific purposes.”

Our Chi Gong practice works with these flows and these changes to enhance your well being and ease the physical, spiritual and emotional ebbs and flows in the river of life. We invite you to come to our monthly activation practice to support your wellness as we gently attune meridian flows to resonate with the ever changing quality of the energies around us. Chi Gong practice is a gentle way to cultivate mindfulness as a path to a grounded quiet serenity.

We are so grateful for this gift from our teachers and for our practice.

We welcome all who want to spread serenity and ride the ripples of bliss !!!

12-12 Celebrating Divine Feminine Light

Author: eltuleinstitutenonprofit  //  Category: Art, Mindfulness, Movement

Welcoming Yin time into the next phase of winter

In our Chi Gong teaching approach, with every flow, we are invoking a connection with our teachers’ teachers’ teachers… a long time line of respect, devotion. and gratitude.

This image comes to us from a great distance – time- and place-wise. This woodcut depicts  the practice of a master opening the flow of the conception vessel, the  river of yin energy in the front of our body. This woodcut has been identified to belong to the Ming Dynasty in China (1300-1600 AD).  It is so inspiring to reach through time and space and connect with beings who passed this knowledge and it is humbling to think that we receive this wisdom and support its transmission into the future.

In the Chinese calendar, the highest yin period occurs around the winter solstice. Yin is the receiving aspect of our energy fields; in its absence or emptiness of chi, this season is a most receptive, transformative, and creative space, a time when we can extend our arms and gather what we need from the universe, the field of divinity, that we all are interconnected in profound ways. Bring in the light to the womb of your creativity to birth in 2016.

This master and teacher is in us when we open our flows and our gratitude to the teachings. I want to thank our teacher, Kay Hutchinson, for her compassionate and deeply connected transmissions to the roots of the chi gong ancestral tree. Thank you Kay!!!

Our last session in 2012 …OLG_top_4x6

…is dedicated to Kuan Yin, the divine mystery of the feminine. Come and activate your energetic fields to open the flow of the conception vessel. 12 12 is the same day that the Lady of Guadalupe is celebrated and bestows blessings to those who are open to the mystery of the divine feminine. Come to this activation to restore and renew your energy through winter and make 2016 a year of deep serenity and abundance.

We begin 2016…

…. celebrating the Chinese New Year with a workshop that will open us to  creative principles in the energy flows of our lives. Mark your calendars Saturday February 6.
